(NEW YORK) — Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner I’ll Have Another is the morning line favorite to win this Saturday’s Belmont Stakes at 4-5. He will attempt to become just the 12th Triple Crown winner in horse racing history.
Jockey Mario Gutierrez will guide I’ll Have Another out of the No. 11 post.
“Being in the 11th hole, we are able to kind of see how the pace sets up,” I’ll Have Another trainer Doug O’Neill said. “If they’re crawling, hopefully be leading the crawl and if they are flying we’ll be sitting in behind the horses flying.”
There hasn’t been a Triple Crown winner since Affirmed did it back in 1978.
