The win ties him with Richard Petty and Bobby Allison for the most victories at the track nicknamed the “Monster Mile.”

“There’s tracks that fit a driver’s style and a crew chief’s style, and this tracks always been that way for me,” Johnson said. “It’s been good to a lot of other people these days, but Dover is Dover. Since my first time here in an ASA car in I think 98 or 99, I’ve loved this track and been fast here.”

If you include the All-Star race, Hendrick Motorsports has now won four straight races, with Johnson winning three.

Johnson and Hendrick Motorsports will look to keep the winning going Sunday when they race in the Pocono 400.
