(LOS ANGELES) — The defending Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings have agreed to terms with goaltender Jonathan Quick on a ten-year contract extension, the team said.
Quick won’t be able to sign the deal until Sunday, due to the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The contract will keep him in Southern California through the 2022-23 season.
Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
The 26-year-old Quick was lights out for L.A. during the postseason, finishing 16-4 with a 1.41 goals-against average and a .946 save percentage.
The Kings took the Connecticut native with the 72nd overall pick in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
