(ARLINGTON, Texas) — Texas Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton was released from the hospital Saturday morning. He was admitted the previous morning for an intestinal virus.
Hamilton will not play in the Rangers weekend games versus the Houston Astros, but he is expected to fly with the team to San Diego and play Monday night.
The Rangers think the 31-year-old slugger caught the virus from his wife and children who have been sick.
Hamilton is hitting .330 with 22 home runs and 62 RBIs this season.
