Judge Denies Execution Delay for Death Row Inmate
Published at(BOISE) – A federal judge has denied another request to delay the execution of Idaho death row inmate Richard Leavitt. The ruling issued Monday was part of a lawsuit filed in April by Leavitt and three other death row inmates challenging the state’s new lethal injection procedures. Leavitt is one of 13 people currently awaiting executions in Idaho prisons. Unless federal authorities intervene, Leavitt is set for execution June 12.
