(LOS ANGELES) — For the first time in NHL history, Lord Stanley’s Cup will be making its home in the City of Angels. The Los Angeles Kings skated past the New Jersey Devils in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final Monday night, 6-1, to win the championship series, four games to two. It’s the Kings first Stanley Cup title in franchise history.
Los Angeles took a quick 2-0 lead midway through the first on back to back power play goals from Dustin Brown and Jeff Carter.
The Kings finished the post-season with a record of 16-4.
