Madison County Bans Adult-Themed Businesses

(REXBURG) – Madison County officials are proposing a new ordinance that would restrict sexually-themed businesses. Local News 8 reports that adult video and bookstores, as well as bikini bars would be required to be a certain distance away from schools, churches, and industrial areas. County commissioners plan to review the ordinance to determine if any action should be taken. A public meeting on the proposal is set for June 14 at 7 p.m. at the Madison County courthouse.
