They are arguing that his incarceration is causing his health to rapidly deteriorate and could threaten his career.

A Las Vegas judge said she’ll decide sometime this week whether or not to ease his jail conditions or place him under house arrest for the remaining duration of his sentence.

Mayweather pleaded guilty back in December to misdemeanor domestic battery and no contest to two harassment charges stemming from an attack on his ex-girlfriend.

“I’m not looking for special treatment for Floyd Mayweather,” Mayweather’s lawyer, Richard Wright said. “I’m looking for fair treatment.”

Mayweather’s representatives are concerned over his physical conditioning while in jail. His personal physician, Dr. Robert Voy, estimated Mayweather is consuming less than 800 calories per game, a drop in his usual 3,000-4,000 calorie diet. Voy also claims that he isn’t drinking enough water because he isn’t allowed bottled water and usually doesn’t drink tap water.

He also is only allowed up to one hour a day total to workout in the jails recreational area. In an affidavit, Voy wrote the he fears for not only Mayweather’s physical health, but mental health as well.
