(IDAHO FALLS, ID)  —  As per usual, Dale Dixon with the BBB of Idaho joined Tim Lewis Friday to warn resident of the latest scams present in Eastern Idaho.   A couple of items from Dale:

Got a call from Jeff Davidson at “Awards Distribution Departmet” at 202-905-0686 saying he had won $350,000 and that he needed to pay 1% in insurance (but was told that amount would be $1360) and a $120 processing fee. He needed to send it Western Union to Eusse Gaviria, 1205 3rd Avenue, San Jose, Costa Rica. We let him know that this is not a legitimate sweepstakes and not to send any money.
The BBB attempted to contact 202-905-0686 and it went straight to a voice mail.

Got a letter (attached) saying he had won $2,274,000 and to claim his prize, he would need to pay a $20 validation fee. He didn’t think it sounded legitimate and brought it in to our office.
