More Treatment Options For Diabetes

(POCATELLO) – Nearly 25 million Americans are affected by diabetes, or about eight percent of the total population. Diabetic ulcers can be particularly challenging, and local doctors tell KPVI that there’s a growing list of ways to successfully treat the painful sores. Hyperbaric chambers expose the wound to pressurized pure oxygen, which helps promote quick healing. With hyperbaric therapy being offered at several eastern Idaho hospitals, doctors say it’s a much safer alternative to surgery.
