Elizabeth Lloyd is seeking more than $500,000 in damages to cover medical costs from the Manchester Little League game two years ago when she was struck while sitting at a picnic table near a fenced-in bullpen.

Matthew Migliaccio, 13, was working with a pitcher in the bullpen when he overthrew the ball two years ago which hit Lloyd in the face.

A Little League spokesman said the league’s insurance covers coaches and players but not spectators.

“We only have $300,000 in home owner’s insurance,” Bob Migliaccio, the upset father of the 13-year-old Matthew told ABC News Radio on Friday, “This thing is so insane.”

“Somehow this is just my sons fault? He’s the only culprit here?,” Migliaccio added. “Not the person who put the bench there? Not the person that you know owns the land? Not the coaches that were watching? Nobody. It’s just Matthew.”

Anthony Pagano, a lawyer for Migliaccio and his family, says the lawsuit is “frivolous” and “disgusting.”
