NBA? SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1340358046501National Basketball Association(ORLANDO, Fla.) — The Orlando Magic hired 30-year-old Rob Hennigan as General Manager.

In 2004, Hennigan was hired to work in the Front Office of the San Antonio Spurs. He then spent four years in the Oklahoma City Thunders’ front office, including serving as the assistant general manager the final two years.

“As we were going through our process we were looking for an individual…a leader who would bring championship organization experience….was a great strategist and brought with him a sound system and approach to evaluating talent,” said Magic owner Richard DeVos.

Hennigan is taking over a team that has won over 50-games the last four seasons.

“It was clear to me in our first meeting and subsequent meetings how committed the family and the organization is to winning,” Hennigan said. “Not only winning but doing things in a certain way. That was something that really resonated with me personally and something I got excited about.”

Hennigan becomes the youngest general manager in the NBA.
