Rexburg Recycling to Expand
Published at(REXBURG) – Rexburg has adopted a city-wide curbside recycling program. Local News 8 reports that the change comes after a two-month trial in two neighborhoods was met with success. Under a cooperative agreement with BYU-Idaho, students will sort and transport collected recyclables, with revenues going toward maintaining and expanding the program. Officials hope to have at least 30 percent of Rexburg households recycling, which will save the city an estimated $90,000 per year.
