Rockets Trade for the Number 12 Pick

NBA?  SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1340877591423National Basketball League(NEW YORK) — The Houston Rockets traded center Samuel Dalembert and the 14th pick in Thursday’s draft to the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for the 12th pick, Jon Leur, Shaun Livingston and Jon Brockman.

ESPN’s Marc Stein has been told by sources that Houston is trying to acquire enough assets to be able to trade for Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard.

This is Rockets second deal of the week, the first sent forward Chase Budinger to the Minnesota Timberwolves for the 18th pick of the draft.

Dalembert has averaged 7.5 points and 7.0 rebounds during his 10-seasons in the league. Livingston averaged 5.5 points-per-game in his only season with the Bucks. Leur is coming off his rookie season, where he played 12.1 minutes per-game and averaged 4.7 points. Brockman, 25, played sparingly for the Bucks last season.
