Tulowitzki was injured on May 30 against the Houston Astros after pulling up while running out an infield grounder. While there is no exact timetable for his return, the average recovery length for the injury is around eight weeks.

In 47 games, Tulowitzki has hit .287 with eight home runs and 27 runs batted in.

Marco Scutaro will shift over from second base to shortstop to replace Tulowitzki.
