State Places Headstones on Formerly Unmarked Graves

(BLACKFOOT) – Most of the graves at State Hospital South in Blackfoot are unmarked, though that’s beginning to change. Local News 8 reports that the hospital is taking donations to begin marking the graves, and has plans to use granite from a demolished building to make several markers. 30 markers are already in place, and officials hope to place 100 more by the end of the year. They say each headstone will cost about $60 and that donations are tax-deductible.
