(IDAHO FALLS) – Students at Eastern Idaho Technical College are reaching out to help one of their peers. KIDK reports that 24-year-old Kristin Thomas, who suffers from chronic kidney failure, was struggling to make it to classes because of her need for dialysis. When graduate McKenzie Owen heard about Kristin’s condition, she went to work raising funds for a possible kidney transplant. Owen says she wants to see Kristin continue her education. An account has been set up in Kristin’s name at Idaho Central Credit Union.
