Published at(DRIGGS) – Teton County has received a $1 million grant from FEMA to help reduce flood risks. The stream bank alterations along Teton Creek have increased the risk for erosion during the last 30 years. With more houses being built nearby, homeowners have been sending in grant applications for several years. Contractors plan to finish lowering the creek’s floodplain with the funds. The developer accused of damaging the stream, Charles Lynn Moses, has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for violating the Clean Water Act.
