Utilities Approve Power Rate Hikes

(BOISE) – The Idaho Public Utilities Commission has signed off on several rate adjustments that will increase monthly bills for Idaho Power customers. The rates will go up less than one percent on average, and 0.34 percent for residential customers. Company officials say they sought the increase to offset nearly $70 million in extra costs.
