ACLU Backs Far-Left “Occupiers” in Lawsuit

(BOISE) – Members of Occupy Boise and the American Civil Liberties Union are suing the state of Idaho over new rules created for protests around the state Capitol. Idaho law prohibits the protesters from camping overnight and cooking on Capitol property. A new law also requires “Occupiers” to give the state a five-day notice before the rally for security reasons. The lawsuit contends that the regulations passed in the 2012 legislature are a violation of the protesters’ First Amendment rights.
