Adam Lambert to Return to “American Idol” as Judge?

Barry King/FilmMagic(LOS ANGELES) — The X Factor judges’ table has already undergone a major makeover. Could the American Idol panel be next?
E! News reports Fox has been in talks with Adam Lambert for over a month to serve as a new judge on Idol. Lambert, of course, got his big break on Idol when he finished in second place during the 2008 season.
So why the need for Lambert on Idol? Well, E! News reports that Jennifer Lopez does not intend to return to the show, though a source says, “I don’t know if they can afford Jennifer, but they have let it be known that she has a guaranteed spot if she wants it.”
Furthermore, E! News reports, the status of Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler on the show is also up in the air.
