An Attempted Kidnapping Early Friday Morning

(IDAHO FALLS, ID)  –  A search is on-going today for the man who tried to abduct a woman in Idaho Falls early Friday morning.  The 33-year old woman told Idaho Falls Police that a man exposed himself and then attempted to kidnap her.   She claims she was walking through a parking lot in the 500-block of 1st Street around 1am when the man driving a pickup drove up and stopped beside where she was walking, and tried to forcefully put her in the truck.   The man apparently was NOT wearing any clothes from the waist down.   The woman put up a fight, and the man left the scene.   The woman said he took off going east-bound on 1st street.

The woman gave police a description of the man as white, in his 50′s, 6-feet tall, around 180-pounds.  He had dark hair, brown eyes and a mustache and beard.  His pickup is a red 1990′s model General Motors regular cab.    If you have any information for police, call Idaho Falls Police at 529-1200 or Crimestoppers at 522-1983.
