The software brings a host of new features including sharing, a faster and sleeker Safari browser, and an advanced notification center.  Apple’s Cloud offering, iCloud, is also integrated at the core of the operating system, making it easier to get content across all of Apple’s devices, including the iPhone, iPad and Mac.

Apple also began running Mac advertisements during the Olympics this weekend.  The ads highlight Apple’s in-person customer service or Geniuses.

While the ads have received mixed reaction, they highlight Apple’s customer service advantage over Microsoft.  Microsoft will be releasing its next version of Windows — Windows 8 — on Oct. 26.
