Brad Keselowski Speeds To Victory Lane At Kentucky

7 1 12%20Keselowski%203?  SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1341153321527Geoff Burke/Getty Images for NASCAR(SPARTA, KY.) — NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Brad Keselowski took home the checkered flag in Saturday night’s running of the Quaker State 400 at Kentucky Speedway.

The 28-year-old Keselowski wrecked his primary car during the first lap of Friday’s practice run. Racing with his backup car, the driver of the number 2 grabbed the lead with 55 laps remaining. He would go on to fend off the field, claiming his series leading third victory of the season.

“Just says a lot about everybody on the team, and some of the things we do back at Penske Racing,” Keselowski’s crew chief Paul Wolfe said after the race. “The process that we go through to build our cars.  Knowing that when we bring out a back-up car, there really wasn’t any concerns for me.”

Kasey Kahne, Denny Hamlin, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jeff Gordon rounded out the top five.
