Car Explosion Sends 1 to Hospital

(REXBURG) – A Rexburg man was hospitalized Thursday evening after blowing up his car. 37-year-old Jared Brad Jensen was sitting in the parking lot of the Maverick station on North 2nd East when witnesses reported seeing him get out of his car with severe burns. Officers found cigarettes, a lighter, and four cans of aerosol dust buster, which may have sparked the fire. Jensen was later airlifted to a Utah burn center. Police do not suspect foul play at this point in the investigation.
