Published at(HAVANA) — After three people died in the south-eastern town of Manzanillo from cholera, a patient in Havana has been diagnosed with the same infection, according to the BBC.
In Cuba 1,000 have sought out medical treatment and more than 50 were infected.
Four hospitals are prepared to isolate patients, and the authorities believe the outbreak is under control.
They speculate that people drank from contaminated wells, which caused their illness.
