Crop Duster Puts Out Truck Fire

(TERRETON) – A quick-thinking crop dusting pilot helped control a truck fire near Osgood Tuesday. with more. Pilot Marty Owen of Dubois spotted the fire while flying nearby. He then landed at the Terreton airport, rinsed out his tanks, loaded up with water, and dropped two loads on and around the fire. Investigators say Owen’s help, along with that of a local farmer, Jesse Albertson, enabled the volunteer fire department to save a large forklift without any damage. Authorities say the tires on the trailer are what sparked the blaze.
