Dwight Howard Wants Out of Orlando, Magic GM Confirms
Published at(ORLANDO, Fla.) — Magic center Dwight Howard has requested a trade, the team’s general manager, Rob Hennigan, confirmed Monday. But the team has not yet decided whether it will grant Howard’s request.
Howard and Hennigan met last Friday in Los Angeles where Howard expressed his desire to be dealt to the Brooklyn Nets.
“We want guys who want to be part of something bigger than themselves,” Hennigan said.
The six-time NBA All-Star made a similar request back in December, before agreeing to pick up the final option year of his contract with the Magic in mid-March.
