Fire Near Salmon Threatens Homes

(SALMON) – A wildfire near Salmon is threatening homes. Authorities say the fire has burned 400 to 500 acres in the 10 Mile Canyon area south of Salmon. The fire, which is being fueled by dry grass and brush, came dangerously close to a subdivision in the area, though BLM officials have not announced any evacuations. Four engines, four air tankers, and three helicopters had been dispatched to the fire as of Wednesday night.
