Hoku Could Declare Bankruptcy

(POCATELLO, ID)  –   Hoku could soon declare bankruptcy. Public trading of Hoku stock was halted Thursday morning after NASDAQ made a request for additional information. In January, the company was given six months to get its stock price up to the minimum $1 per share, which hasn’t happened. In fact, the company’s last stock price was 10 cents per share. Earlier this year the company’s Pocatello plant struggled to pay its utility bills, leading to speculation that the facility would close before it even went into operation.
