Idaho Boosts Rainy-Day Accounts to $90M
(BOISE) – Idaho reigned in nearly $35 million more than forecast revenues for the 2012 fiscal year. That adds to a total of about $90 million in the state’s rainy day funds, $37 million of which will go into education reserves. Sales tax revenues amounted to roughly $1 billion, or 1.4 percent more than was projected in January. State officials say it’s a good sign that Idaho’s fiscal house is in working order.
