(WASHINGTON) — After tumbling by 26,000 to start the month, jobless claims canceled all of its gains last week, rising by 34,000, according to figures released Thursday by the Labor Department.
For the week ending July 14, the number of people filing for benefits climbed to 386,000. The previous week, claims stood at 352,000.
The four-week average, however, continued to fall, dropping by 1,500 to 375,500.
