Chestnut tied his own world record, chowing down 68 hot dogs in 10 minutes on Brooklyn’s Coney Island where temperatures were pushing in the 90s.

“It feels great that I was able to tie the world record without anybody really pushing me,” Chestnut said. “Everybody else was out here persevering through the heat and supporting me.  I might as well push myself. It’s only 10 minutes worth of work. I might as well push as hard as I can.”

Chesnut took home $10,000 with the win and Tim Janus was behind him with 52 hot dogs and made $5,000.

Takeru Kobayashi also has six wins at the Nathan’s event but did not compete on Wednesday.

Sonya “Black Widow” Thomas broke her own women’s world record, devouring 45 hot dogs.
