(LONDON) — The United States men’s basketball team tipped off Group A preliminary action Sunday with a 98-71 victory over France. Forward Kevin Durant led the way for the Stars and Stripes with 22 points and nine rebounds.
Forward Kevin Love contributed 14 points while guard Kobe Bryant had 10 points as the U.S. is looking to win its second consecutive gold medal.
Guard Tony Parker had 10 points for France.
Preliminary action for the U.S. continues on Tuesday when they take on Tunisia.
