(SAN DIEGO) — Defensive end Luis Castillo was released by the San Diego Chargers Thursday.
Last season Castillo broke his left leg in the Chargers’ Week 1 game, forcing him to miss the rest of the season.
Castillo has spent his entire seven-year career as a Charger. During that time he played in 82 games recording 276 tackles and 19 sacks.
Castillo signed a one-year $1 million contract with the Chargers in April after first visiting with the Chiefs and Patriots.
