(SANDPOINT) – A northern Idaho woman faces misdemeanor charges after a wolf escaped from her sanctuary last year. Bonner County officials say Nancy Jean Taylor failed to report to the Idaho Fish and Game that the white wolf had escaped. Taylor, who has pleaded not guilty, says she didn’t report the missing animal because it had renal failure and likely wouldn’t survive long in the wild anyway.
