Luka Magnotta is accused of murdering, mutilating and eating his lover, Jun Lin, and mailing the body parts to political parties and schools in Canada.  Lin’s head is the only missing body part unaccounted for.  He was last seen on May 24 and was reported missing to the Chinese consulate on May 29, according to the Montreal Police Department.

Investigators made their way to Park Angrignon on Sunday after receiving a tip, Montreal Police spokeswoman Anie Lemieux told ABC News.  The park is located a few miles from Magnotta’s apartment.

It will take a few days to confirm whether what police found is a human head.

Magnotta, 29, was arrested on June 4 in a Berlin Internet café, days after police believe he videotaped the murder of Lin, mutilated his body and mailed his hands and feet to government offices and schools.  A janitor discovered Lin’s torso behind Magnotta’s apartment building on May 29.  Magnotta was extradited back to Canada on June 18.

Magnotta, charged with first-degree murder, was for a time considered a priority fugitive by Interpol.  He did not fight extradition and quickly admitted his identity when confronted by police in Germany, telling them, “OK, you got me.”

Magnotta, who has appeared in adult films, has previously posted videos of his torturing animals.
