(NEW YORK) — Forward Ray Whitney signed a two-year $9 million deal with the Dallas Stars.
The 40-year old forward led the Phoenix Coyotes in scoring last season with 77 points. That is tied for the second most points he has accumulated in a season.
Whitney is entering his 21st season in the NHL and the Stars will be his eighth team.
For his career, Whitney has played in 1,229 games scoring 365 goals while dishing out 638 assists.
