Report: Jeremy Lin Upset With Knicks Management

NBA via New York Knicks(NEW YORK) -- Last season, Linsanity swept the nation as the unlikely star Jeremy Lin surprised the basketball world with his stellar play for the New York Knicks. With Lin being a restricted free agent, he explored his options with other teams. According to a report from the New York Daily News, Lin was upset with the Knicks front office for not offering a new contract before speaking to other teams.

Lin had agreed to a four-year offer sheet with the Houston Rockets for $28.8 million. The Knicks have the right to match the Rockets offer, and plan on doing so, according to ESPN. Still, Lin felt slighted by the Knicks.

"He was surprised the Knicks didn't make the first move," a league source told the paper. "They know they've got to mend some fences with him because he believes what the Rockets have told him, that the Knicks weren't as interested as they are."

After being cut by the Warriors and Rockets, Lin joined the Knicks in the middle of last season and averaged 14.6 points, 6.2 assists, and 3.1 rebounds in 35 games and 25 starts.
