(NEW YORK) — Could Seth Meyers scale back his duties on Saturday Night Live and move to daytime TV alongside Kelly Ripa?
Showbiz411.com reports Meyers, a frequent guest co-host on Live! with Kelly, is the front-runner to be named the permanent replacement for Regis Philbin. The report speculates that if Meyers is hired, he may resign as SNL’s head writer but continue to anchor its “Weekend Update” segment.
The website says two other frequent guest co-hosts, singer Josh Groban and former football star Michael Strahan, are also in the mix for the job.
