Rescuers Rappel to Car Crash

(SWAN VALLEY, ID)  –  Two young adults nearly died Thursday morning after their car went down a steep embankment along the Snake River in Swan Valley.  Rescue crews from the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office and Swan Valley Fire and EMS had to rappel down a 30 foot cliff to reach the vehicle.  The driver and passenger escaped with minor injuries and were wearing their seat belts. Officials say speed was a likely factor in the accident.
