Rockets Welcome Jeremy Lin to Houston
Published at(HOUSTON) — The Rockets welcomed Jeremy Lin to Houston on Thursday. The 23-year-old point guard signed a three-year, $25 million offer sheet with the Rockets earlier this month, which the New York Knicks declined to match.
“It’s been an unbelievable ride,” Lin said. “Just a lot of things I didn’t expect to happen in terms of the way last season went. I still have to kind of remind myself that this is all actually happening sometimes.”
Lin was with the Rockets last December, but was waived because Houston already had guards Goran Dragic and Kyle Lowry. The Knicks claimed him off of waivers and began using him when the team sputtered to an 8-15 record. From there, he led New York to seven straight victories and the Big Apple caught “Linsanity.”
