Silva Retains UFC Middleweight Title Against Sonnen

Jeff Bottari/Zuffa LLC via Getty Images(LAS VEGAS) — UFC Middleweight champion Anderson Silva stopped Chael Sonnen at 1:55 of the second round Saturday night, in UFC 148 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
Silva won the fight after landing a devastating knee to Sonnen’s chest, followed by several solid strikes, forcing the referee to stop the fight.
Silva improves his record to 30-4 MMA, 15-0 UFC while Sonnen falls to 28-12-1 MMA, 6-5 UFC.
