Sofia Vergara Rep Denies Reported Engagement

Kevin Winter/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — A representative for Sofia Vergara has denied a People.com report that the Colombian actress got an early birthday present with an engagement to her longtime businessman boyfriend, Nick Loeb.
“As of today, Sofia is not engaged,” the rep told PeopleEnEspanol.com.
The couple had reportedly split up two months ago. Loeb has been in Mexico with Vergara and her friends and family for the past week celebrating her 40th birthday (July 10) at the Rosewood Mayakoba spa resort in the Riviera Maya.
Loeb popped the question while the group was touring the Mayan archeological ruins of Chichen Itza, a source told Wonderwall.
One of the Modern Family star’s friends Monday posted a photo on Twitter of the actress wearing a big diamond on her ring finger in Mexico.
This would be the second marriage for Vergara. At age 18, she married childhood sweetheart Jose Gonzales, and gave birth to son Manolo in 1992. The pair divorced a year later, in 1993.
