Voracek Signs Extension With the Philadelphia Flyers

Bruce Bennett/Getty Images(PHILADELPHIA) — Forward Jakub Voracek agreed to a multi-year contract extension with the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The Flyers acquired the 22-year-old Voracek from the Columbus Blue Jackets last season for forward Jeff Carter. In 78 regular season games with Philadelphia, Voracek scored 18 goals and had 31 assists.
“If I was getting signed, I was getting signed,” Voracek said. “If I wasn’t, I wasn’t. I was patience that I was going to get the opportunity to sign and that’s what exactly what happen.”
Voracek had 10 points during the Flyers’ post-season run last year.
