(EAST IDAHO)  —   A mid-morning thunderstorm rolled through Eastern Idaho Inter-agency Dispatch area resulting in at least 8 new starts on July 11.  Crews are on scene of fires and working to gain containment.  Good progress is being made on several fires.  Additional resources continue to be ordered, based on current and expected conditions, to support firefighting efforts.  Local agencies are cooperating in fire response.  Current resources are being strategically moved to meet needs in an efficient manner.  The National Weather Service has issued Red Flag warnings for the south east Idaho.  This red flag warning is due to expected thunder storms and gusty outflow wind from those storms.  A “red flag warning” means that local weather criteria and conditions have been met for possible ignition and rapid propagation of wild-land fires.  Friday and Saturday are expected to have increased monsoonal moisture arriving into the area increasing humidity and likelihood of wetting rain.
