1,200 Kids Benefit From Free School Supplies

(POCATELLO) – More than 1,200 local kids received free backpacks and school supplies Saturday, all thanks to the generous help of a church and several businesses. The sixth annual “Back 2 School Giveaway,” which was hosted by Gate City Christian Church, set its sights on filling a need in the community. Organizers say more than 3,000 people showed up for the event. For those who missed the event, a similar giveaway is being offered at the Potelco Credit Union next to Highland High School this Friday.
