“We’re jacked up about these racetracks,” Biffle said in a tele-conference earlier in the week.  “We potentially could win two or three of those races fairly easily and have strong finishes in the other ones and that quite frankly could be enough.”

Martin Truex Jr. is fifth in the standings and enjoys racing at Atlanta once a year.

“I really enjoy that track, it’s one of my favorites, a place where I’ve had a lot of success,” Truex Jr. said. “I really like the fact that it’s old and wore out and you can run all over it.”

Right behind Truex Jr. is Clint Bowyer in the standings.

“Our goal here the last six, seven races have just been single digit finishes and we’ve been able to do that,” said Bowyer.  “If we can continue to do that, we’re going to be a threat for this championship.”

Jimmie Johnson sits in second and Dale Earnhardt Jr. is in third headed into the weekend.
