(JEFFERSON COUNTY, ID)  —  Jefferson County Commissioners have mostly dismissed allegations that Sheriff’s deputies were misusing taxpayer funds. Several residents accused Sheriff Blair Olsen of giving his wife a department cell phone, a charge Olsen himself admitted to. The allegations also raised questions about departmental procedures and policies. Commissioners say they’ve reviewed investigative reports and haven’t found anything warranting a forensic audit. They say its time for the community to “heal and move on.”
