Billingsley is currently on the disabled list with inflammation in his elbow. He missed two weeks in July with the same injury.

Platelet-rich plasma is an emerging treatment to help heal tendons or ligaments without resorting to surgery. The Dodgers haven’t ruled out the possibility that Billingsley will require Tommy John surgery, which would cost him most of the 2013 season as well.

Billingsley is 10-9 with a 3.55 ERA this season.  Over his last seven starts, he has gone 6-0 with a 1.80 ERA.
